What can I expect delivery process to be like?
On delivery day, expect a friendly text or call giving you the heads up that your Pico pro is getting everything ready for your ride. Now, bear in mind, while we're all about being on time, sometimes LA traffic plays its own game (definitely not us!). But fret not, we'll shoot you a text when we're on the scene.
For the smoothest experience, set aside around 1 hour for the delivery, although it usually takes less time.
Once our ace agent arrives, they'll double-check you with a quick ID scan. Then, together, you'll give your Pico the once-over, counting keys and all. Got any Qs about your new wheels? Feel free to fire away.
Remember, the sweet spots for delivery are spots with some elbow room, where you and our agent can give the Pico a thorough check before you give it a thumbs-up. Drop those delivery deets like they're hot, so we can make the whole process seamless. Just a heads-up, you need to be there for the vehicle delivery – no proxies allowed, not even if they're family or friends. It's all about that face-to-face Pico connection!
-
How can I get in touch with you? Do you have a phone number?
Need a chat? Dial our toll-free hotline at (866) 720-6030. We're tuned in from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PT, Monday through Friday, and dishing out that weekend warmth from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday.

What do I have to have with me at delivery?
When it's time for your appointment, make sure you've got the real deal – your genuine, up-to-date driver's license – all set for a snappy check. Just to clear things up, copies, phone pics, or anything other than the actual ID won't cut it, sorry. And hey, here's a heads-up: we also need to check that payment card you used, so don't forget to bring that along.
Now, keep this in mind: sometimes we need a Plan B for IDs. So, having a trusty passport, student ID, credit card, or insurance card stashed away is a smart move – just in case.
Oh, and one more thing: for your safety, don't forget to rock some closed-toed shoes and bring your helmet if you aren't renting/purchasing one from us. Safety first, style second!
-

Oh, and guess what? If you're keen on dodging the pick-up tab, you can totally cruise your Pico back to one of our return centers – no extra cost involved.
When the big return day rolls around, make sure you're in the scene to meet our cool team members. Oh, and a little tip to keep things smooth: aim to bring your Pico back in the same state as when you first got it, along with all the extras you got as well (extra battery, charger, lock, helmet, delivery box). Riding Pico
-
Do I need training to ride a Pico?
Riding a Pico isn’t difficult but buzzing easily around the streets of a crowded city certainly doesn’t come naturally to everyone, especially on their first ride. If you’re a beginner and would like to improve your confidence in an urban environment and move round without a hitch, then merely reading this document will sadly not be enough to ensure your absolute security and safety.
We highly recommend that you participate in one of the free riding lessons we offer if you have never ridden a motorised two-wheeler. Our delivery team is also experienced to assist you with any of your riding and Pico related questions. We want every Pico ride to be fun. But first and foremost we want you to be safe.
It goes without saying that you should always follow traffic laws and road signs.

How to park a Pico
Legal Parking
First things first, keep it legal. Parking your Pico right is your ticket to adventure without the ticket! If your Pico ends up in a no-go zone, you might just find a ticket waiting for you, or even worse. Nobody wants that, right?Park-ology 101
The art of proper parking. Think perpendicular style – your Pico's back tire snuggled up to the curb, like it's giving it a friendly high-five! And if you're eyeing that spot between cars, go for it! Just remember to leave enough room for those four-wheeled amigos to groove in and out smoothly. Remember: If you hit it, it's on you to fix it.Channel your inner parking maestro and become the envy of the parking lot! Your Pico will strike a pose that says, "I'm parked and I know it!"
Sidewalks: Sidewalks are like the red carpet for pedestrians and Pico's aren't invited to the party. Avoid parking on sidewalks. And when it comes to fire hydrants, remember the number 15. Fire departments need access at all times, so be sure to give them space... 15 feet, to be exact.
Street Signs: Street signs are like LA's secret code. Triple-check them like you're solving a mystery. Pay extra attention to permit parking only and street cleaning times – nobody likes a surprise bubble bath!

Are helmets provided with Pico e-scooter rentals?
Helmets are available as an extra add on option. It's important to note that regulations and requirements can change over time, so it is always advisable to check the most up-to-date information from official sources such as the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) or local authorities to confirm the current helmet regulations for e-scooter riders in Los Angeles.
-
Are there any safety guidelines I should follow while riding a Pico e-scooter?
Helmet required
We require all riders to wear a DOT approved helmet.
Before getting on a Pico:
Check your tires, brakes, and lights. Report any damages immediately.
Speed limit of 30mph
Our SEV can accelerate up to 30mph. Even if the electric motors can handle much higher speeds, they are electronically limited for safety reasons. So riding on highways or major bridges is strictly forbidden.
No highways or major bridges
We encourage you to enable "avoid highways" on your preferred navigation app before using it when riding your Pico.
Overtaking
-
Overtake on the left without weaving in between cars.
-
It is essential to respect and comply with the rules of the road. Never overtake on the right, do not move forward in between vehicles when traffic lights are red, and always respect rights of way.
Make yourself visible
-
Avoid blind spots and make other road users aware of your presence.
-
Be careful when riding in close proximity to heavy vehicles. Keep a safe distance from these vehicles and be particularly vigilant when overtaking them.
-
To make yourself more easily identifiable:
-
Opt for equipment with reflective tape and bright colors.
-
When riding on the road, it is advisable to place yourself two-thirds to the left in the lane of traffic in order to keep your view clear and remain away from potential hazards on the pavement.
-
It is safer not to remain directly behind another vehicle; if it were to brake suddenly, you would almost certainly run into it from the back.
Lane Changing
-
Use your mirrors and indicators.
-
Always indicate any changes in direction in advance, regardless of the circumstances.
-
Use your mirrors as much as possible; before every maneuver, take a look in the mirror. They are helpful in every situation and will provide you with very useful information.
-
If in doubt, quickly turn your head to make sure that you can overtake or make a movement.
Traffic
-
Try to predict other drivers' movements and keep your distance.
-
Stay at least 85 feet behind vehicles in front of you and pass parked vehicles with a gap of at least 5 feet to avoid any surprises.
-
Learning to brake is essential. Braking is effective when both brakes are applied at once, adjusting the pressure exerted on the controls.
-
In an emergency situation which means you need to make a quick movement, look at where you want to go, not at the obstacle. The human brain is built in such a way that where you are looking is where you are naturally directed.
Weather
-
In bad weather, slow down and maintain a greater distance between yourself and other vehicles.
-
When the weather is bad, it is essential to slow down and pay extra attention to all of your maneuvers. Widen the distance between yourself and other vehicles, reduce your speed, and consider overtaking with a wider berth.
-
Braking must be measured. Sudden braking will make you skid and maybe fall off. If the road is wet, never brake with only the front wheel, especially if your handlebars are not straight.
-
Avoid any slippery obstacles in your path, particularly white lines on the road, dead leaves and metal sheeting.
-
-

-

-
Riders must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license or permit to operate an e-scooter.
-
E-scooters must be parked responsibly, typically in designated areas. Parking in certain restricted zones, such as in front of driveways or fire hydrants, is prohibited.
It's important to note that local regulations can vary within different cities or regions. To ensure compliance with the current regulations in Los Angeles, it's advisable to check the official website of the LADOT or contact local authorities for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding e-scooter use and regulations.
